Risk Management Trainer and Practitioner

​I am a seasoned risk management specialist with more than 15 years of hands-on experience supporting organisations to understand, manage, and mitigate risk in fast-moving and often complex environments. My career spans senior risk roles in public and private organisations, both in the UK and internationally. Supported by professional qualifications from the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) and additional certifications in cyber risk and AI risk management.

Throughout my career, I’ve helped organisations build stronger resilience by simplifying the complex. I translate technical, operational, and strategic risks into clear, practical actions that teams can genuinely use—whether on the frontline, in project delivery, or at the executive table. My passion lies in demystifying risk, improving risk culture, and building capability through engaging, practical training.

Over the last decade and a half, I have had the privilege of:

• Designing and implementing global risk frameworks used across ten countries, adapting them to political, cultural, and organisational differences

• Establishing and leading a government-wide Due Diligence Team, supporting more than 60 international programme teams each month

• Delivering risk, compliance, and audit training to hundreds of government staff and hundreds more across the private and public sectors

• Leading strategic risk functions, in the public and private sectors

• Working with senior executives and boards to improve decision making and risk maturity

• Building and managing teams, fostering capability, and creating supportive learning environments
